| Duties |
Provide oversight of the activities of the Internal Audit Division through the review of audit results; assist in the selection of the independent Certified Public Accounting firm that performs external audits of the County’s financial statements; and provide the communication link between the Internal Audit Division, external audit firms, and the Board of Supervisors. |
| Qualifications |
1. Two members of the Board of Supervisors
2. One member of the public who has work history in the field of business, finance, auditing and/or accounting. Must be a resident of Fresno County.
3. Second member of the public, who is a resident of Fresno County. |

Pursuant to Government Code Section 53235, if any local agency provides any type of compensation, salary, or stipend to a member of a legislative body or provides reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred by a member of a legislative body in the performance of official duties, then all agency officials shall receive training in ethics. |
