Duties |
Facilitate public input relating to the actions and decisions of the District and to assist the Authority in effectuating its purpose; provide input in the establishment, updating and monitoring of the District's Rule Development Procedures; provide early proactive review and input on current and new rules and their effectiveness; provide input on District funding sources; generate and recommend ideas and approaches to improve air quality; facilitate public education and encourage sharing of information. |
Qualifications |
• One appointee shall be a member of the private industry or agriculture community who shall be a representative of legally established private enterprise operated for monetary profit.
• One appointee shall be a representative of a recognized environmental interest group. |

Pursuant to Government Code Section 53235, if any local agency provides any type of compensation, salary, or stipend to a member of a legislative body or provides reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred by a member of a legislative body in the performance of official duties, then all agency officials shall receive training in ethics. |
