| Duties |
Review establishment of agricultural formation of preserve applications and , review applications for placing land under Williamson Act contract , review petitions to remove land from the Williamson Act program, and make recommendations to BOS. Should be knowledgeable about agricultural matters and be aware of current land-use trends in Fresno County. |
| Qualifications |
1. County Agricultural Commissioner;
2. the Director of the Cooperative Extension;
3. A representative of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service;
4. A representative from the Fresno County Farm Bureau, and
5. A representative from the California State University, Fresno Agriculture Department.
6. Two (2) members from the following organizations, with no more than one chosen from each organization
a. Sierra Club
b. Consolidated Irrigation District
c. Large Acreage farmer
d. League of Women Voters
e. Fresno Council of Governments
f. Small acreage farmer
g. Building Industry Association
h. Nisei Farmers League
i. Fresno Irrigation District
j. Fresno Association of Realtors
k. Kings River Conservation District |

Pursuant to Government Code Section 53235, if any local agency provides any type of compensation, salary, or stipend to a member of a legislative body or provides reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred by a member of a legislative body in the performance of official duties, then all agency officials shall receive training in ethics. |
