Five (5) Members appointed by the County of Fresno BOS (15 total - 5 appointments each from County of Fresno, County of Madera, City of Fresno; 1 elected, 4 public) |
Term Specifications |
• Terms of the Supervisors shall be co-terminous with their positions with the County.
• Two years for other four (4) persons appointed by Board. Terms expire at noon on the first Monday after January 1 (Bylaws, Article V) |

Duties |
Encourage and assist local agencies to concentrate resources in an effort to develop greater capacity to foster the development of a comprehensive and coordinated service system for older individuals in Fresno and Madera Counties, with preference given to those activities and services which will assist and benefit older individuals having the greatest economic or social need. |
Qualifications |
• One member of the Board of Supervisors.
• One member of the Board of Supervisors, as an alternate.
• Four senior citizens residing within Fresno County. |
Meeting Schedule |
Monthly, September through June on the third Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. |
AB 1234 Ethics Training |
Pursuant to Government Code Section 53235, if any local agency provides any type of compensation, salary, or stipend to a member of a legislative body or provides reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred by a member of a legislative body in the performance of official duties, then all agency officials shall receive training in ethics. |
